The biggest question you’re asking right now is, “Who in the world is Tim Lewis?” That’s why you’re looking at my bio page.
Here’s the best answer I can give you…
Away from my website, I’m the Sports Director for KREM-TV (CBS) in Spokane, Washington. That means I anchor our Monday-Friday sportscasts and I make all the calls on our coverage. You can check out some of my television work on KREM.com.
We are one of the only markets in the country to have four Division I colleges in our viewing area: Gonzaga University, Washington State University, the University of Idaho, and Eastern Washington University (they play in the FCS, but are D-I in every other sport). We also have professional (the Spokane Shock of the Arena Football League) and minor league teams in town. On top of that, we cover the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners as well. Needless to say, I stay pretty busy throughout the year.
I’ve spent much of my life in Washington (I grew up in the Seattle area), but I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I also lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland (just outside of Washington, D.C.). In other words, my life experiences and sports knowledge go well beyond Spokane.
I recently had someone ask me what other passions I have outside of sports. I didn’t have an answer. I love sports! It’s as simple as that. I surround myself with them every second I get. I grew up playing sports, but I was never good enough to play in college. Instead, I learned how to talk about them for a living (I graduated from the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University). I have greatest job in the world, and it’s also why I started this website. I can’t stop talking about sports (that’s probably why I’m still single at 29).
While sports (and fantasy sports) are the main topic here, I also enjoy writing about fitness (I’ve recently lost 40 pounds and I dramatically changed my lifestyle), and life in general (vacations, hobbies, etc). This is an adventure and I want you to come along for the ride.
I enjoy interaction! There are several ways to keep in touch with me. You can follow me on Twitter @lewissports, like my Facebook page, or email me at tim@timlewissports.com. I’m excited to hear from you!
