Update: Time Flies No Matter What

I wrote a blog on here the other day called Time Flies No Matter What. In that article I asked for suggestions on how to slow down the clock. Every month seems to cruise by faster and faster. I feel like it was Christmas yesterday, but we’re actually in mid-May. I’m still trying to figure out what happened over the last five months.

Thanks to your feedback, I know I’m not the only one fighting this battle. It sounds like everyone is. I was hoping that our combined efforts would lead to the secret of putting life in slow motion. I think we’ve definitely started down the right path. Here are some of the suggestions I received:

“I have a small idea. As simple as it sounds, it always happens when I do it. Keep looking at your watch every few minutes and expect something to happen.” — Radar Brown via Facebook

“Try to locate Peabody and his time machine.” — Angela Brown via Facebook

“Do a job that you hate and wait patiently for retirement to come ( a clue: it’s like waiting for graduation : ). Trust me, time will slow to a mud crawl! I don’t speak from personal experience, mind you…but I am close to someone in that position with about a year to go.” — Lorraine Kilmer Thacker via Facebook

“I find that waiting for your doctor’s office to call you back is a good way [to slow down time].” — Kirsten Crippen (@kmcripn) via Twitter.

That’s a solid start, but I think we’re still pretty far away from our end goal. The secret continues to elude us.

I’ll keep plugging away on ideas, and I hope you will too. I’m always open to new suggestions (funny and/or serious). I think we can have some fun with this (and maybe find a way to throw a lasso around Father Time)!  You can leave a comment below, email me at tim@timlewissports.com, or connect with me on Twitter and Facebook.
