The Perfect Post Workout Meal

If you’ve been following along (click here if you haven’t), I started a quest for fitness about five months ago. I wanted to transform my lifestyle, so that’s exactly what I did. I feel better than I ever have before and I lost nearly 40 pounds (at last check) in the process.

I’m far from perfect, but I’m learning a lot as I go. One of the things I’ve figured out is that I don’t like to eat a full meal after I workout. I need something that will make an impact, but it needs to be simple. This is the option that I go with almost every day:

There’s a misconception that protein shakes are only for dudes who are trying to get big muscles. That’s not the truth. Protein (including shakes) is essential for everyone’s diet.
